EL PASO- B. Jean Aylward, 90, of El Paso, passed away at 3:35
a.m. on Saturday April 5, 2014, at Heritage Health inEl Paso.
She was born inMattoon,IL on October 14, 1923, a daughter of
Ralph and Flossie Aldrich Misenheimer. She married Leon V. Aylward
on February 20, 1946 inSullivan,IL.Leon preceded her in death on
May 4, 2004.
Surviving are her children, Mary Ann Kilpatrick, Pinellas Park,
Florida, Leon Aylward Jr., Peotone, IL, Lois Livingston, Richmond,
Texas, Elizabeth (Brad ) Mehn, El Paso, CJ (Frank) Muller, Palos
Park, IL, Chris (Don) Hataway, Rutland, and Tom (Angela) Aylward,
Hastings, Florida, 2 sisters, Deana Kutz, Sullivan, IL and Lois
Hanners, Stanardsville, Virginia, 15 grandchildren, and 19
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Marcy Kilpatrick and
Shirley Cline; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Jean retired as a machine operator from Hart-Carter in Gridley.
In years past, she and her husband Leon owned El Paso Lanes. Jean
enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling, golfing
and playing bingo. Jean always had a kind word for everyone
and she never met a stranger.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April
8, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in El Paso with Rev. Don
Roszkowski officiating. A time for reminiscing with her
family will be from 9 AM until 10 AM at the church. Memorials
may be made to the American Cancer Society.
