Thelma Parham
Thelma Maple Parham, 93, of 700 E
Walnut., Bloomington departed this life at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday (May
23, 2012) at Heritage Health-Bloomington.
Mrs. Thelma Parham was born to the
union of Willie Kyles and Mrs. Caroline Edward, in Shaw,
Mississippi on April 27, 1919. Mrs. Parham confessed Christ at an
early age, and was baptized at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church in
Bolivar County of Mississippi.
She was united in marriage to
Charlie Parham. They moved to Meltonia, Mississippi and they were
blessed with five children, three boys and two girls: Charlie
Parham, John L Parham, Sylvester Parham, Ernestine Walls, and Laura
Madison. John, Sylvester, and Laura preceded her in death. Her
husband Charlie also preceded her in death. Mrs. Parham moved to
St. Louis where she lived with her son until she could no longer
care for herself. Later she was moved to Bloomington, Illinois
where she resided until her illness increased to a level that her
daughter and son-in-law had to move her to Heritage Manor in
Bloomington, where she lived the remaining of her day.
She leaves to mourn her son,
Charlie (Angie) Parham who resides in St. Louis, Missouri and her
daughter, Ernestine (Eddie) Walls of Bloomington, 20 grandchildren,
37 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, host of
nieces, nephews, and friends. All were blessed that Mother Parham
came their way.
