Ruth Miller
Benson- Ruth E. Miller, 80, of Benson, IL, passed away at 3:20
am on Sunday May 13, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Home of
Roanoke.
She was born on January 12, 1932 in Washburn, IL to August and
Eunice Corbin Cordes. She married William L. Miller on January 28,
1951 in Benson, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Deb (Jim) Schirer of Roanoke;
Teri (Jim) McDowell of Mendota; two sons, Randy (Pat) Miller of
Groveland; David Miller of Benson; two sisters, Betty Meismer of
Danville, IL; Donna (Ken) Hersemann of Chatham, IL; six
grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson,
Joey.
Ruth was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was
baptized, confirmed and married. She was a lifelong member of the
St. Peter Ladies Auxiliary and was also very active in 4-H over the
years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday May 15, 2012
at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Benson. The Rev. William
Hecht will officiate. Visitation will held on Tuesday from
5-7 pm also at St. Peter Lutheran Church and from 9-9:45 prior to
the services on Wednesday. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
