Robert Van Note, Sr.
Bloomington- Robert L.
Van Note, Sr., 79, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:08 a.m. on
Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be from
5- 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Memorial Home in Bloomington. There will be no service. Cremations
rites will be accorded after the visitation. Memorials may be made
to the family.
Robert was born on September 10,
1932 in Saybrook, Il., to Irvin L. and Ruth Ellen (Brown) Van Note.
He married Betty Joyce Jones on April 24, 1952 in Bloomington. She
preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children, Vicki
Lynn Nicholas, Patricia Ann Carey, Barbara Bruce, Robert Van Note
Jr., Debra Van Note, David Van Note, Steve Van Note and Curtiss Van
Note all of Bloomington; one brother, Rodger Van Note of
Bloomington; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and six great
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, one daughter, Lisa; two brothers, Gene and David; one
sister, Janis Montgomery and one granddaughter.
Robert was employed for 33 years at
the General Box Company-Stone Container-Southwest in
Bloomington.
He was an avid Cubs and Chicago
Bears fan and loved fishing and spending time with friends and
family.
