Lyndall Louise Follis Dike

 

El Paso- Lyndall Louise Follis Dike, 86, of El Paso, IL passed away at 1:20 am on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Washington Christian Village in Washington, IL.

She was born on November 19, 1925 in Lincoln, IL a daughter of John Delmar and Daisy Williams Follis. She married Norman Wayne Dike on February 9, 1945 in Bambridge Island, WA. He passed away on February 14, 2009.

 

Survivors include two sons, Donald (Fran) Dike of Dunlap, IL; Richard (Debbie) Dike of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Martina (Frank) Goldin of North Vernon, IN; Lyndall Aileen Canter of El Paso, IL; four brothers, Bill Follis of Lincoln, IL; Robert Follis of Naperville, IL; Jim Follis of Carson City, NV; Don Follis of Lincoln, IL; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one grandson, one great grandson, one great granddaughter, and one brother.

 

Lyndall was a member of SACO, Home Extension, CBI-China Burma India, Hudson Christian Church, a founding member of Bartonville Christian Church where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher, Kickapoo Archers Association, and Peoria Motorcycle Club.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Hudson Christian Church. Rev. Jim Gorby will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 pm at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, IL.
