Minonk-Lorene A. "Peanie" Tjaden
Robbins, 75, of Wake Forrest, North Carolina formerly of Minonk
passed away on July 4, 2012 at 10:47 pm in Bloomington at OSF St.
Joseph Medical Center.
She was born November 9, 1936 in
Clayton Township near Benson a daughter of Edward C. and Alvena
(Warnkes) Tjaden. She married Lee Robbins on June 12, 1955 in
Minonk. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2012.
Survivors include three daughters:
Lori (Gordon) Robbins-Murphy of Blythewood, SC, Amy(Chad)
Robbin-Tjaden of Wake Forrest, NC, and Becci (Brett Bursey) Robbins
of Lexington, SC.; Four grandchildren: Travis (Amanda
Whaken)Robbins-Murphy of Columbia, SC, Tessamyn Robbins-Tjaden of
Pittsburgh, PA, Leland Robbins-Robbins-Murphy of Charlotte, NC, and
Molly Robbins-Murphy of Blythewood, SC; two great-grandchildren
Lucius Tjaden of Pittsburgh, PA and Faith Hudson of Columbia,SC .
Also surviving is one sister, Merrie Milashoski, and one brother,
Harold (Janet) Tjaden both of Minonk.
In addition to her husband Lee,
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law,
Bob.
Lorene worked for the Department of
Defense ae an orthodontic assistant in Italy
Services and a time of sharing for
Lorene will be held on Monday July 9 at 11:00 am at Ruestman-Harris
Funeral Home in Minonk. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m.
until time of services at the funeral home on Monday.
Inurnment will be in Minonk
Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Lorene's
name may be made to an organization that prevents the cruelty to
animals.
