Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Baker family. Irma was an incredible woman. Loved her green thumb and spending time visiting with her on the back porch! Will never forget the time she sent some "new potatoes" to me all the way in Olympia, WA. You'll be missed but never forgotten. Love you!

Freddy, Dennis, Liz, Marion and extended family, I am so sorry to hear about Irma. She was like a second "fun" mother to me growing up. I remember her saving all the scraps from the kitchen to use in her garden. I never knew we could grow potatoes in Illinois until your mother brought in her crop one year. She always had something in the crockpot for us to eat when we stayed overnight and sometimes even made us "toasted cheese sandwiches" for breakfast. I still have the recipe for her hamburger and rice dish. She always welcomed our high school crowd at your house. When my kids complain about a chore I tell them how we use to pit boxes of cherries at your house just for the fun of it. She will be missed and we will keep your family in our prayers. God bless you. Steve and Andrea Boudreau

Dear Fred, Dennis, Liz, Marion & Family: Your wife and mother was the most special person - always a happy and she enjoyed having fun! She was a very wise and resourceful lady - made the best apple pies. Irma loved all her grandchildren and enjoyed teasing them and spending precious time with them. This wonderful lady is now in heaven with Jesus and other departed loved ones. May God's comfort, peace and in time joy of wonderful memories replace the heartbreak you are now experiencing. You and Irma were all blessed to have had each other. In deepest prayer and sympathy, Jack & Aunt Becky

Irma's family, I am so sorry to hear about Irma's passing. I loved working with Irma and Liz at the Minonk IGA. Irma was such a wonderful and fun person. I was just thinking of her a few weeks ago - always a great smile. To save me from driving in a snowstorm during work, Irma sent me to her house for a meal. Liz, do you remember the liquid lunch you gave me? I was blessed to have known Irma. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God continue to bless you all. Penny

Fred, I was extremely surprised to hear about Irma. A good one has gone to be with the Lord but luckily we still have you. We'll be joining her before to long but in the meantime it sounds as though you have a large support group with all the grandkids. Cherish them. I never got to see the picture of Irma and me so if you find it please hold it for me. May the Lord comfort you through this time. Best Wishes. Barth

Freddie, Dennis, Liz, Marion and families - my memories of your wife/mom are happy, funny ones. I think because of Christie & Liz and Cindy & Marion's friendships I too was included at times for things that went on at your house. We grew up in a neat neighborhood, didn't we? A couple distinct memories are of your mom and her flowers, her hardy laugh, and her PT Cruiser. I thought it was neat that she had a 'hip' car instead of an 'old fogie' car. ;) Irma was always quick to share a friendly smile or a big wave as she went by Mom & Dad's house. I'm sure she was welcomed into Heaven by the old neighbors - my Dad, John Earl, Ted Jurczak, Uncle Ernie & Aunt Alberta Feken....and Gma Ketchmark too (Liz & Marion - she was probably peeking thru Heaven's curtains to see what was happening across the street! HA). May God & your wonderful memories bring each of you comfort & peace during this difficult time.
