Floy Hodel

Goodfield- Floy Hodel, 82, of Goodfield, IL passed away at 7:20 pm on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka where she had been a resident.

She was born on December 11, 1928 in Eureka, IL a daughter of Floyd L. and Myrtle I. Bach Finley. She married Loren G. Hodel on June 9, 1946 in Eureka, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Curtis L. (Melita) Hodel; Steven C. Hodel both of Goodfield, IL; one daughter, Melanie A. (Alan) Ludwig of Benson, IL; one son-in-law, Mike Losher of Deer Creek, IL; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one step great grandchild and one on the way; and one sister, Barbara McAnally of Cottonwood, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Janet S. Losher; one sister, and 2 great grandchildren.

 Floy worked as the office manager for Woodford County Mutual Insurance in Eureka for 23 years. She and her husband also owned and operated Hodel Insurance in Goodfield, IL.

 She was a member of the Eureka Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Pastor Jennie Churchman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday evening at the Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Eureka Christian Church Building Fund or the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. Online condolences may be sent to the family at ruestmanharrisfuneralhome.com.
