Edward T. McAbee

Lacon-Edward T. McAbee, 36, of Lacon passed away on Friday August 3, 2012. He was born on January 28, 1976 in Peoria to Clyde and Frances (Munro) McAbee.

He is survived by his children, Daniel McAbee, Jazmine McAbee, and Ryan McAbee, of Lacon, his father, Clyde McAbee, of Washington; his mother, Frances Unzicker, of Arkansas; his brothesr, Loren "Scooter" Unzicker, of Peoria, and Waylon McAbee; his sisters Stacey Chamness, of North Pekin, and Salem Steck, of Creve Couer;several step sisters and brothers; two nephews, Brandon Chamness, of Lacon, and Loren Lyndon Unzicker III, of Peoria; and four nieces Shayla Hale, of Chillicothe, Kara and Kimmie Steck, of Creve Couer, and Tamara McAbee, of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother.


Eddie was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved to bowl and was involved in many leagues. He went to ProAm tournaments in Las Vegas and had bowled over a dozen 300 games, with countless games over 295. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Eddie was an awesome friend who could always be counted on to help someone in need.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00
p.m. on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Inurnment will be at Lacon Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to a college fund for The Clyde McAbee Custodian Benefit for the McAbee Children at the First National Bank of Lacon.
