Carl and Dave, I'm sorry for your loss. As you know, being in your house quite a bit growing up, I always loved Bev. Dave, I remember we'd be watching tv and she'd fix us sandwiches. She was a special lady. May God give you strenght and encouragement at this time of loss. Blessings. Because of a cross and empty tomb, Curt Sparks Sr. Minister Overland Park Church of Christ Overland Park, KS 66213

Mrs. Hirsch was my favorite teacher at Washington Community High School, and in no small way she shaped my further education in English literature and journalism and shared correspondence with me thru my college years. She never 'dumbed down' her vocabulary for us, urging us to go to the dictionary for words that stumped us - something I practice to this day. Her charm and bright smile will remain one of my most cherished memories of my years at WCHS. God grant her eternal rest.

Mrs.Hirsch was one of my favorite teachers. She helped me to graduate from WACOHI.I was the only Senior in her English class in 1969. Then I went to Viet Nam. I will always remember her as a great person. If not for her kind ways always listening then in her own way not letting anyone know, she helped anyone out.

Dave, I'm sorry for your loss and have thinking of you. I've been or stayed at your home several times in our high school years and remember your Mother as a very kind woman...a a great cook! I lost my Father this past January so can feel your pain in this loss. There are a few similarities that I thought interesting. Your Mother was born in May, 1929 and married on June 18th 1950. My Father was born in June, 1929 and was married June 21, 1950! It's been some time since we last spoke but you have always been a great person and a terrific friend! Ben

I am sorry to hear about your loss of Bev. May you soon remember the good moments more than the sad ones. Dave, I have so many memories of you and Mike and the football team while you were in high school. And the fathers! Mike's father and yours were part of the group of fanatic-father-folowers! May God bless you both. Betty L
