Bertha M. Funk

Eureka- Bertha M. Funk, 84, of Eureka, IL formerly of Gridley passed away at 12:55a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka .

 

She was born on March 31, 1927 in Elgin, Iowa a daughter of John and Ida Fischer Pulfer. She married S. Roy Funk on February 21, 1954 in Gridley, IL. He survives.

 

Also surviving are three sons, Randall R.Funk of Gridley, Jerry L.Funk Bloomington, IL; John L Funk of Gridley; four daughters, Rhonda J. (Larry) Bauer of Lithia, FL; Charlene F. (David) Wagenbach of Burlington, IA; Lori A. Funk of Bloomington, IL; Karen K. Funk of Normal, IL; two brothers, John (Wilma) Pulfer of Phoenix, AZ; Leslie(Wilma) Pulfer of Pekin, IL; four sisters, Helen Jacobs of Remsen, IA; Ruth Rinkenberger of Gridley; Norma (William) Butikofer of Gridley; Lois (Ken) Winter of Oelwein, IA; three grandchildren, Diana Wagenbach (fiancé, Greg Eisenmann); Candace Wagenbach; and Rachel Wagenbach.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Bruce B. Funk and one sister, Imogene Pulfer.

 

Bertha was a homemaker.

 

She was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and from 9-9:45a.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
