V. Pauline Blimling
Normal- V. Pauline Blimling, 81, of Normal, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Normal.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home in Bloomington with Rev. Larry Gaylord officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Normal or American Parkinson’s Disease Association or charity of the donor’s choice. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
Pauline was born November 16, 1928 in Murrayville, IL, a daughter of William and Mae (Obert) Osborne. She married Dean Blimling on August 21, 1948 in Murrayville. He survives..
Also surviving is one daughter, Debra (Lester) Siron of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Laura Siron and Dawn (Blake) Kuppersmith both of Atlanta, GA; Lucas (Tori) Siron of Edwardsville, IL; three great-grandchildren, Reagan and Corbin Siron and Liam Kuppersmith; two brothers, Benny (Peg) Osborne and David (Sue) Osborne; one sister, Peggy (Frank) Williams; in-laws, Dale (Florence) Blimling, Mabel Henkel, Peg (Ralph) Ash and Charles Blimling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and Bill.
Pauline had worked for GTE/Verizon in the traffic department and retired in 1984.
She was a life member in the VFW auxiliary and served as president and also belong to the American Legion auxiliary.
Her love is passed down through her family members in the quilts she made. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed deeply.
