Ricky Dean Kletz
Bloomington, IL – Ricky Dean Kletz, 64, of Bloomington passed away Friday, October 07, 2011 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal at 4:03 am. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Kurt Flora officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 11 am to 1 pm at the memorial home. According to Ricky’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington with full military honors provided by the Carl S. Martin American Legion Post 635 of Normal and the VFW Post 454 of Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family in Ricky’s name are respectfully requested. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is handling arrangements.
Ricky was born on December 11, 1946 in Bloomington, IL a son of Leslie R. and Delores (Buford) Kletz.
He is survived by his son, Troy (Kim) Kletz of Heyworth; and four grandchildren, Kevin Kletz, Normal; Heather Kletz, Courtney Kletz, and Megan Kletz, all of Heyworth. Also surviving are five siblings, Lenny Kletz of Normal; Kathy (Reggie) Smith of Salem, MO; Susan Hawk of Bloomington; Garry (Kelly) Kletz of Bloomington; and Kristie Covington of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Delores Kletz; a sister, Pamela Walley; two infant brothers; and two brother-in-laws, Richard Hawk and Craig Covington; and a sister-in-law, Janet Kletz.
Ricky served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a Union carpenter and Millwright retiring from Union Local 63. Ricky was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 454 in Bloomington.
He was an avid Cub fan, Nascar, and Bears Fan. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Ricky was a loving and caring son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. We will all miss him very much.
