Rhodabel Doty Eureka- Rhodabel Doty, 85, of 416 W. Cruger Ave., Eureka, died at 6:07a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal. She was born on May 8, 1920 in Eureka a daughter of James and Mary Ellen Bell Hogbin. She married Paul M. Doty on December 25, 1941 in Fairfield, Ill. He died on March 2, 2001 in Morton. Survivors include one daughter, Paula(John C.) Schmidt of Washington; one son, Gerald(Gina) Doty of Florence, AL; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Harold”Bud” (Tootie) Hogbin of Mackinaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters. She worked at Libby’s canning factory, Bertie’s Dress Shop, Ben Franklin, Hallmark and CVS all in Eureka. She was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 53 years and was a member of Home Extension in Eureka. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday at her church. The Rev. Ron Martz will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8p.m. Tuesday at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka.
