MARTHA E. PRUVOST Roanoke - Martha E. Pruvost, 99, of Roanoke, passed away at 6:45 am on Tuesday August 11, 2009 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke, where she was a resident. She was born on September 8, 1909 in Pana, IL to Jules and Eugenie Robilliard DeLaval. She married Leo Henry Pruvost on February 20, 1930 in Eureka. He passed away on March 10, 1973. Surviving is one daughter, Charmaine Smith of Elmwood, IL; one son, Norman Pruvost of Los Alamos, NM; four grandchildren, Becky Duffield; Mike Blunier; Jenny Schupbach; Chantal Hopkins; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, Mary Lancieou who raised her from the age of 9, two brothers; and one grandson, Rusty Blunier. Martha had a special love for animals, especially dogs and her "little Rufus". In her younger days she enjoyed fishing with her family and she loved to crochet and made many afghans for her family over the years. She was a member of the Roanoke United Methodist Church. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Roanoke Township Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is in charge of arrangements.
