Logan R. Armstrong El Paso- Logan R. Armstrong, 68, of El Paso, IL passed away at 3:15 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born on June 25, 1943 in El Paso, IL a son of Carl L. and Ruby I. Hibbs Armstrong. He married Bonnie K. Gossmeyer on July 22, 1962 in El Paso, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Terri Hamilton of El Paso, IL; Tracy (Matt) Alsman of Bloomington, IL; one son, Thomas (Holly) Armstrong of El Paso, IL; one brother, Wesley (Debbie) Armstrong of Kappa, IL; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four nieces, and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert, one sister, Dorothy Dambowy, and one great grandson. Logan worked for Thyssen-Krup Elevator Co. in Peoria, IL. He was a member of the I.U.E.C. Local 55 in Peoria. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Secor Cemetery. Rev. Shelly Forrest will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm before the service at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Burial of ashes will be in the Secor Cemetery. The family suggests casual attire for Logan’s service. Memorial contributions may be made to Advocate BroMenn Hospice, Community Cancer Center, or the El Paso Rescue Squad.
