GEORGE H. “HEINIE’ HEYUNGS
Eureka- George H. “Heinie” Heyungs, 93, of 501 Van Alstine Secor, Illinois, died at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
He was born on October 13, 1913 in Secor, IL a son of Henry and Clara Hunzinger Heyungs. He married Lida A. Heller on March 1, 1942 in Secor. She survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Elsie Cox of Roanoke and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
George was a farmer in the Secor area. He and his wife founded and operated the Eureka Locker Service for many years. They were later the owners and operators of Heyungs Excavating in Secor.
Heinie was a member of the Secor United Methodist Church and the Woodford County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 1 at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka. The Rev. Ron Martz will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday, August 31 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home in Eureka. Burial will be in the Secor Cemetery.
