Edith M. Compton Minonk- Edith M. Compton, 72 of 230 Locust St., Minonk died at 2:55 P.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Rev. Bill Brown of the Lexington Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 Friday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family. Edith was born October 9, 1933 at Phillipsburg,PA a daughter of Eugene and Mary Catherine McNeal Sheetz. She married Kurt Steven Bottcher on June 14, 1952 at Elkton,MD. She then married George Eldon Compton on December 30, 1960 at Elkton,MD. He died February 22, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Lillian (and Robert) Weiss, Farmer City, Linda Bottcher and Michelle (and Mark) Medley, both of Minonk; one son, Steven Bottcher, Minonk; one sister, Pauline Boyd, Florida; one brother, Jack (and Carol) Sheetz, Ohio; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. “Edie” was a member of the Minonk VFW Ladies Auxillary.
