Delores Kletz Bloomington- Delores L. “Toodie” Kletz 87, of Bloomington, passed Sunday, October 24, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28 , 2010 at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington with Rev. Dr. Randy Perry officiating.. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in Delores name. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home is handling arrangements. Delores was born April 6, 1923 in Bloomington, a daughter of Cecil and Jessie Sharp Buford. On December 28, 1939, Delores married Leslie R. Kletz in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1993. Delores is survived by her six children, Lynson (Janet) Kletz of Normal; Ricky D. Kletz of Bloomington; Kathy (Reggie) Smith of Salem, Mo; Susan Hawk of Bloomington; Garry (Kelly) Kletz of Bloomington; Kristi Covington of Normal; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Newland of Bloomington and Doris Straube of Reno, NV. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, three children, and two son-in-laws. Delores worked as a cook at Unit 5 School District in Normal and later at West Minster Village. She was a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of Eagles Aerie 527 Auxiliary. She was an avid Chicago Bulls fan, and also a fan of NASCAR, primarily Jeff Gordon. Delores enjoyed sports, playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Not only was she a mother of nine children but, she was also a mother and mentor to many other people she came in contact with.
