Bob L. Kinkade Normal- Bob L. Kinkade, 83, of Normal, passed away at 9:18am on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Asta Care Center of Bloomington. He was born May 17, 1928 in Piper City, IL a son of Ralph Ray and Lela Iola Ferren Kinkade. He married Sara “Della” Romig on March 16, 1972 in Champaign. She passed away on March 28, 2003. Survivors include his children, Maria (Ryan) Schatz of Thompsons Station, TN; Beverly (Bob) Pierce of Freeland, WA; Janet (Brad) Brady of Dwight, IL; Rhonda (Ed) Kiper of Tucson, AZ; Colleen Grosenbach Mead of Bloomington; Melinda (Brian) Breach of Normal; and Randy (Sherry) Grosenbach of Fort Worth, TX; thirteen grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Grace Lawrence of Fairbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Bob served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as an insurance agent for 17 years. He also owned Dee’s Hardware and Kinkade Plumbing and Heating. Bob moved to Texas and continued the plumbing business and taught plumbing to homeowners at Midland College. He then worked at Lowe’s in Bloomington for ten years. Bob was a member and elder of Living Hope Christian Church in Downs, IL. Funeral services for Bob will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Rev. Mark Moore will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 prior to the service at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery in Downs, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Hope Christian Church, 201 S. Seminary Street, Downs, IL 61736. Online condolences may be sent to the family at kiblerbradyruestman.com.

    I want to send my deepest sympathy to all of Bob's family. I will truely miss his smile and all his knowlege in plumbing. He always wanted to help and enjoyed what he did. I feel blessed that I got to know him through his Cardiology appointments. May God help ease your pain through this difficult time.

    My condolences to all of Bob's survivors. Bob was my first cousin through our common ancestors Rolla Vernon Ferren and Etta Meadows. I last saw him at my Father's funeral at Mattoon in 1977. I am the family genealogist and would welcome contact by family members.
