Anita E. Meyer Eureka- Anita E. Meyer, 102, of Eureka, IL passed away at 6:55 pm on Friday, September 15, 2011 at Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka, IL. She was born on April 20, 1909 in Shobonier, IL a daughter of John and Anna Michel Kruenegal. She married Albert H. Meyer on October 27, 1929 in Augsburg, IL. He passed away on February 22, 1978. Surviving are one son, Nolan (Bonnie) Meyer of Eureka, IL; two grandchildren, Keith (Linda) Meyer of Eureka, IL; Kathy (Vernon) Scott of Gravette, AR; five great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, and five step great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Anita owned and operated Meyer’s Superette grocery store in Secor, IL with her husband. She was fondly known as “Little Grandma”. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eureka where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Pastor Joe Burns will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Secor Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is assisting the family with their arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
