Anna R. Maas
Normal- Anna R. Maas, 94, of
Normal, passed away at 12:20 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her
residence in Normal.
A funeral service will be
held at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Park Hill Mausoleum
in Bloomington. Rev. Allen Steinbeck will officiate.
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is entrusted with handling
arrangements.

Anna's name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington
or the OSF Eastern Region Hospice-Normal, 211 N. Landmark Drive,
Suite D3, Normal, IL 61761.
She was born May 15, 1917 in
Salem, MO a daughter of George W. and Mary J. Woods Ray. She
married William "Vern" Maas on January 18, 1941 in St. Louis, MO.
He passed away on April 12, 1990. She was preceded in death by
several siblings.
Vern and Anna started and
operated Maas Radiator Shop in Bloomington from
1934-1982.
Anna was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church since 1958 and was involved with the ladies aid,
altar guild, and anywhere else she was needed. She also was a
member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 59 years.
She faithfully supported the
Paralyzed Veterans Association for 17 years and was an honorary
member; the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, since 2000;
and the Humane Society since 1990.
Anna always had a smile for
everyone she met. A special thank you to all her family at the
Blair House where she has lived since 1999 and the OSF Hospice Team
of Normal for the excellent care provided to her.
